Why You Actually have a Choice

It's hard to believe. The phrase "no choice" is bandied about to explain why behaviours cannot change and being resigned to fate is necessary.

But in every single situation you HAVE A CHOICE how to respond and to perceive the situation.

Once you realise that, you will feel less burdened.

Common dilemma: you wish to quit your job but you need the money.

Off the top of my head, you have a choice to:
a) Change your attitude towards your job
b) Work towards or request a new job scope
c) Hunt and apply for a new job
d) Start a side project to energise yourself and provide an alternative
e) Quit your job and do what you've always wanted to, at least for awhile

Work towards being able to be in a position to make choices that make you feel free.

Pick up a new skill. Rejection and Failure are brutal but excellent and necessary teachers. All confident leaders, salesmen, inventors, business owners failed before they succeeded.

No time to pick up a new skill? Promise yourself and mark it in your calendar WHEN you will begin on that skill.

At every moment, focus on the good you can do for the upcoming situations, rather than the missteps made.
Keep DOING the good, and you'll find yourself MAKING better choices, and gradually HAVING a wider range of choices.
